“You know who I am. I’m Arya Stark. Do you know who you are?
You’re no one. You’re nothing.“
– Arya Stark
Arya Stark of Winterfell. The youngest daughter and third child (out of 5) born to Eddard and Catelyn Stark. She’s stubborn like her father and fiercely independent. While Sansa sits in her sewing circle with Jeyne Poole impressing Septa Mordane with her “lady” skills, Arya’s out chasing stray cats in bare feet for her water dance training. She’s a fan favorite and that’s why you’re looking for an Arya Stark costume.

Arya Stark Costume: Main Components
With the exception of season 1 and later on in season 5, Arya has been wearing pretty much the same thing throughout. This is why Maisie Williams was excited to get a new outfit in S5. Here are the basics for your Arya Stark Game of Thrones costume.

Arya Stark Full Costume
This was previously unavailable when this page was created. But, it looks as if there’s now an all-in-one Arya Stark costume, based on the seasons where she was on the road with Gendry (#StillRowing), followed by the Hound.
Depending on the price (they fluctuate) or availability, it might just be easier to get the full outfit at once. (Boots still needed of course.)
Arya Stark Is LEFT Handed
If you looked closely in Arya’s pictures, she’s a lefty. When Maisie Williams read that, she trained her sword hand to be faithful to the books.
If you’re not going to be waving their sword around all night it doesn’t really matter. But to the hardcore cosplayer who wants to keep it real, you should be aware of this. Even if you still choose to go right handed. And if you do want to wave your sword around, do what’s comfortable for you. We just wanted to put it out there.
“It’s just a stupid sword,” she said, aloud this time…
… but it wasn’t.
Needle was Robb and Bran and Rickon, her mother and her father, even Sansa. Needle was Winterfell’s grey walls, and the laughter of its people. Needle was the summer snows, Old Nan’s stories, the heart tree with its red leaves and scary face, the warm earthy smell of the glass gardens, the sound of the north wind rattling the shutters of her room. Needle was Jon Snow’s smile.”
– George R.R. Martin, A Feast for Crows
Season 1 Episode 01
“Winter Is Coming”
Jon Snow gives Arya a present before he leaves Winterfell for the Wall.
Needle is a small, slender sword that Jon Snow had made by Mikken for Arya Stark before he went away to the Night’s Watch. She named it needle as to mock Sansa and the fact that Arya hates the Septa’s sewing sessions (“Sansa has her needle, I have mine). This is why she calls water dancing (sword practice) needle work.
The difference is that it’s limited edition (only 2500 made) and comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by George R.R. Martin himself.
If you’re a die-hard collector, you might want to check it out. But realistically speaking for the rest of us, we’ll just have to find an alternative version until they make a less exclusive version of the sword.
There is now a more reasonably priced version which you can find on the “standard version” button
